BRAC LINCOLNS was founded in 1976 with stock from the famous Airlie flock owned by the late Jack Chrisite. Airlie was the top flock and respected worldwide. BRAC LINCOLNS was established to help promote and revitalize a declining breed and also with the use of very careful selection in a small flock to greatly improve the quality of the average Australian Lincoln.

The result of the dedication of the owner, Barbara Irving, has bought great rewards to the breed. Since the foundation of this flock and the heavy committment to showing in those early years the breed has witnessed the rise in number of competitors and also the formation of two societies to support this ancient breed in Australia. The breeding policy of BRAC LINCOLNS is to improve the stature, without simply resorting to leggy sheep, and depth of body of the Lincoln. Also to improve the quality of the Lincoln wool by increasing lustre, improving weights and most importantly redevlping correct style of fleece, not adopting a new style. A courageous challenge but one that is yielding rewards each season.
