Subtitled, The Royal Photograph Collection, this solid ‘little’ book is a selection of the Royal family enjoying their canine companions. The book covers photos and a very few art works, and is very nicely produced. It features a diverse array of companions, but hardly any of the working animals are featured, for example, no Clumbers despite an extensive kennel once being housed at Windsor (Frogmore) and again at Sandringham in the 1930s.The photos are nively reproduced, essentially ‘family’ shots but the text explains much more.
A fun book to have, but not an essential buy.
